Pictured left is Jack Orrey, who was a long-time resident of Horseshoe Bay, and a long-time diiver for Pacific Stages on the Horseshoe Bay-Vancouver run. He was an extremely popular driver, and also a highly respected member of the Horseshoe Bay community. I think of Jack every time I walk by his property in the 6500-block of Nelson Avenue. Had anyone been chosen as reeve of mayor of Horseshoe Bay it would surely have been Jack.
