Don Evans, railway enthiisias t and Executive Director of the West Coast Railway Association, our next speaker, will explain the importance of the railway to British Columbia and, especially cover the efforts being made to preserve the Royal Hudson and to continue the Stpiamish Excursion Train. All the railway enthusiasts among us should try not to miss this meeting! Don Evans knows his sub- ject well and will provide us with an excellent history of railways in British Columbia, not forgetting the old Pacific Great Eastern (re-named B C Rail!). Under Don's leadership the West Coast Railway Associa- tion has grown in size and activities and is now the owner of the second largest collection of heritage rail- way rolling stock and artifacts in Canada, Their Stjuamish "train park" is popular with many tourists.
