We know that you all enjoyed his last one, but many, to their surprise, found it difficult to remember the correct answers. This time Tom has changed his tactics. Now he gives everyone not only the date and event in question, but a list of names from which to choose your answers. Tom says: Can you identify each of the following graduates from West Van High? Use the enclosed sheet. 1925 She became an outstanding Latin/French teacher at WVHS. 1926 One of tlie first WV students to complete junior matric. She later became Mrs. E. Young. 1927 Tills red-headed lady taught at Pauline Johnson. 1928 He became a vice-principal at Hollybum. His sister was Ida. 1929 Tills fine man married tlie daughter of Rupert Harrrison's precedessor. 1930 Received an M.A. in geology in 1940. The family lived at 1461 Haywood Avenue. 1931 Member of one of West Van's first families; in 1939 became Mrs. Rupert Harrison. 1932 Daughter of the reeve of the day, also an outstanding scholar. 1933 He won a governor-general's silver medal for lus junior matric. standing. 1934 Lt-Commander, R.C.N. Commanded H.M.C.S. "Whitby". Ex-rugby star. 1935 He was with the Royal Bank before joining tlie R.C.A.F. (Ferry Command). (Born in Cranbrook). 1936 She became one of the best journalists in the city. 1937 Wounded twice in Italy; earlier, married classmate "Elaine". 1938 Taught at Hollybum School; dad was a church minister; motlier was on the WV School Board. 1939 A science whiz; his dad, and namesake, former principal of Pauline Johnson. 1940 Became a well-known radio and television personality in Britain. 1941 The only ex-May Queen in this graduating class. 1942 Father and son have the same Cliristian name; both have superb golf records. 1943 Ex-R.C.V.N.R., ex-long distance runner. Newest member of the W.V. Historical Society Board. 1944 Her brotlier was a famous opera singer. She was an outstanding singer too. 1945 A superb trombone player. Later became an engineer. 1946 She was a talented pianist who played in the Chuck Graliam Orchestra. 1947 Second of three sons; W.V.'s outstanding teen-age citizen for 1947. 1948 Fomier president of B.C. Conservative Party. Also an expert on jazz. 1949 A fine athlete; was the 1949 Student Council President. 1950 His family arrived in WV from Saskatchewan in 1941.
