Tlie Facilities Department of the School District of West Vancouver has just begun a 3 year plan to restore the original look to the exterior of the Hollyburn elementary School building. Back in the late 50's the exterior was reclad with a wider board. Tliis summer the Facilities Department began work removing this "new" covering and restoring the old. TTiey are curious about its original paint colour. This might be a good time for those of you who have fond memories of one of the oldest of West Vancouver's schools and the site of its first high school to drop us a line at History-Onics and share them with us. Any old pictures that we could publish? Our president David Barker remembers attending there in grade 1 in 1946 and the janitors throwing sawdust on the oiled wood floors and the man who used to demonstrate and sell yo-yos just outside the school grounds in the springtime.
