The Christmas tree shone brightly, while the piano played softly. The scent of yummy food wafted from the kitchen.while the tinkling sound from the Bar Room all combined to make that festive mood. The weatherman was especially kind to us - holding off the rain and snow to let us enjoy the evening. Peter Hall (Past President) enjoyed greeting guests and also gave out tickets for door prizes. Ian Macdonald, back from a tour, joined the group. The main entrance found a piano, with player and singer, Pam Rowea and Gordon Roberts, a popular couple we hope to see again. Beyond the entrance we saw the tree lights sparkling and, soon, Santa arriving (Waring); also Santa's Helper, Janis Johnson, who was happy to see Waring back in his old role again. The "Bar" was always ready for the valiant crew-Alistair Duncan, Hugh Johnston, Don Graham, Bob Tapp and Neville Grey. The "Busy Helpers", Joan Skipper, Betty Brolly, Pam Dewdney, Dorothy Nelson, Susan Dirassar, Fran Hall, Marguerite Cassatta, Dorothy Sayers and the two who took a good load of goodies to the Food Bank -Harold and Barbara Johnson. Many thanks to you all and to the Society members who gave their time and talent to make our Christmas parties so successful.
