EXECUTIVE REPORT: WELCOME TO THE NEW MILLENNIUM!! After all the excitement of the celebrations of the commencement of the year 2000, the evening of December 31st, 2000 - January 1st, 2001 was a bit of an anticlimax, wasn't it. However, here we are at the beginning of a whole new century and it has certainly started off with a great boost for the West Vancouver Historical Society. Since we last appeared in this column the Society has attracted 21 new members. (See Director Joan Skipper's Membership Report on page 4.) We are delighted to have so many new enthusiasts with us and look forward to hearing from them with their views on our newsletter and on the personal and family stories which we are certain they are just longing to share with us! Don't forget - yesterday and today's memories are history to those who follow in our footsteps. Your Editor was away in the UK celebrating several personal anniversaries over the festive season and so missed out on this year's Christmas Party. Directors Laureen Jones, our Special Events Chair, and Joan Skipper must be thanked for all the hard work they always put into setting up this event and ensuring its success. Well done, ladies!
