The group has spent manjr hours clearing deadfalls, repairing and building bridges, identifying old trails, breaking new ones and tracking down the remnants of logging - from the turn of the century to 1950. New signs have been placed throughout, identifying new trails as well as the old trails that have been reopened. The new brochure “Lawson Creek Forestry Heritage Walk†is available at the Gertrude Lawson House Gift Shop, Museum & Archives; the Parks Department, Municipal Hall, and in the West Vancouver Memorial Library. Continued from page 1 Marilyn Mullan, Curator & Executive Director She was the founding Vice-President of the Greater Vancouver Mining Women's Association and served a two year term as President of the Association from 1975-1979. Through this organization Marilyn became involved as a volunteer with the British Columbia Museum of Mining, the operating arm of the Britannia Beach Historical Society and was subsequently elected to the Board of Directors. In 1980 she accepted the responsibilities of Curator and in 1986 was appointed Executive Director, a position she has maintained for ten years. During her tenure at the Museum, working with the Board of Directors, she developed the exhibit and audio-visual program “Britannia, the story of a BC Mine -1888-1974†which illustrates the Britannia Mines as a model for underground rock mine development in B. C. Cost: To be advised with registration form. An invitation to join us has been extended to the graduating Class of 1946. They are not having a reunion this year, so their theme wiU be reunion 50 plus 1. A NO HOST Cocktail party. Dinner, Entertainment, Dance and/or Socializing. c) As we progress, we plan to expand the day to other events and may make some modifications to the above program. The 50 YEAR REUNION is going to take place and from the enthusiastic response and the work of the committee, it will be a smashing success with everybody welcome to all functions.
