JOHNSTON Hugh Johnston & Harry Lynum On the Lawson Creek Trail Lawson Creek Forestry Heritage Walk A Second Forestry Walk opens for the 1996 Hiking Season The Lawson Creek Heritage Walk gives the mountainside explorer an opportunity to see how a logged forest can regenerate itself. The walk takes you through areas of mountain that have been clear cut and selectively logged from the early 20th Century up to the 1950’s. This Trail connects with the Brothers Creek Forestry Walk and is included in the new brochure. The Brothers Creek Forestry Walk was completed and opened for the summer of 1994. The publication of the “Lawson Creek Forestry Brochureâ€, an interpretive guide including maps, marks the virtual completion of a cooperative project of the District of West Vancouver and our Society carried out over the last 3 years. For details on the Society’s part in this project and where to pick up the brochure see the Article on Page 7.
