Because of equipment incompatibility she had to type all the input herself in a very shcnt period of time. Thank you Dorothy to your timely assistance. STTC/AT TVTMS ACT!VITITS We couldn’t ask for a more attractive and ‘"homey†atmosphere for our Christmas Party than that lovely old log mansion, **Spuraway Lodgeâ€. The Christmas tree lights spaikling, the fireplace aglow, soft piano music, yummy food aromas wafting fiom the kitchen... and of course the tinkling and gurgling sounds from the Bar Room, all combined to create that special festive mood! The weatherman was especially kind to us, holding off the rain and snow to let us enjoy a pleasant evening....which brought out a record numbo^ of guests, including several new members. We are always hcqipy to see new members! Past-President Peter Hall greeted guests and gave out door prize tickets, standing in for Ian Macdonald who was basking in the tropical Costa Rica sunshine!! Bouquets to our faithftil valiant crew, who were at the ready to serve, entertain and generally make everyone comfortable. This year, we were pleased to have Bob Tsqjp (mountain/cabin guide and sometimes Museum guide) step in as Santa. Super job. Bob! Santa’s little helper, Mary Chapman, who was busily selecting the right gift for the right person, also did a super job. Having had a request for soft drinks, we decided to supply a non-alcdholic punch, served in the Refreshment Room at no charge. This proved very popular and will be a regular Christmas party feature. PUNCH recipe by request. Acknowledgement and sincere thanks to the Society Members who so kindly and willingly give their time, talent and humour to make our Quistmas parties successful: Betty Brolly Mary Chapman Pam Dewdney Allistair Duncan Peter Hall Eleanor Hamilton Hal & Barb Johnson Sally Macintosh Hugh Johnston Dorothy Nelson Membership Report The New Year is upon us and I am pleased to report that membership renewals are coming in steadily.
