EDITORIAL COMMENT For lots of special gifts at great prices, shop at the Museum Gift Shop! Members are now entitled to a 10% discount on all items purchased there. Among other larger items, we have a special order of beautifully crafted linen shopping bags with First Nations paintings on the panels. These are attractively priced at $20 for the smaller size and $25 for the larger. Hand-carved wooden bowls and vases for that “special†person begin at $50. These prices cannot be matched anywhere. Also on the shelves are cards, little decorations, and sachets for your clothes closets. Beautifully illustrated books by Anne Cameron are only $6.95 each but just right for reading to the younger grandchildren after the Christmas dinner! Do come and browse! Waring Pentland, has been having extensive surgery at Lions Gate Hospital and will be unable to produce HISTORY-ONICS for a few issues. However, we are very lucky to add a new co-publisher, Dorothy Robertson, to the team. Dorothy, who has recently retired from West Vancouver Secondary School, has newsletter production experience so you can expect that Waring’s high standards will be upheld. Welcome aboard, Dorothy!
