Prominent in this exhibition will be a section on the canneries in West Vancouver, including Eagle Harbour and Great Northern, focusing on their history The feature presentation will be a travelling exhibit. Cannery Days: A Chapter in the Lives of the Heiltsuk, which highlights the role of First Nation Heiltsuk women in canneries, primarily in the post-war years up to 1967. The exhibit will run until February 3, 1996. The current exhibit, The Sporting Life: Summer Recreation in West Vancouver 1910-1950, closes September 30.
