Membership Report Membership Campaign Begins to Roll In our last issue we announced that Peter Finch was heading a renewed membership campaign. Unfortunately, personal commitments have forced Peter to step down as Director and Chairman. (His decision was not a direct result of the campaign, we assure you.) Our Presidoit has taken over the reins temporarily and we can report good progress as the campaign begins to roll. It is voy important that we keep our membership level up. In these economically troubling times governments at all levels are anxious to ensure that their expenditures are recognized as being effective in the community. Our Society is the most visible siq>pO]t for the Museum and Archives and as such our membership numbers clearly indicate how seriously West Vancouver residents desire to promote an awareness of the history of our community. By increasing our membership we show the growing interest that exists in supporting the ]»ograms of our Museum and Archives. We ask all of you to help in building our numbers. Make a conscious effort to sign up your friends; maybe give a gift manboship as thanks f(U’ a favour, or instead of a bottle of wine when invited for dinner; contact any Director with a list of potential members; above all, talk about the Society, the Museum and Archives and whenever possible, promote local historical awareness. We know the interest is there as we see the names of new members growing. Following is a list of the new members who have joined since our January issue.
