EXECUTIVE REPORTS By: Ian Macdonald, President DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS ELECTED At the Annual General Meeting on March 23 the slate of Directors proposed by the Nominating Committee was elected by acclamation. Not offering themselves for re-election ’94 Directors Allistair Duncan, Peter Fmch, Eleanor Hamilton and Norma Sissons. They are to be warmly thanked for giving their time and energy to Society affairs. Three new Directors came on board. Janis Johnson and Tom Taylor served on earlier boards. Their skills and dedication are well known and they are certainly welcome back. Gabriele Sinclair is our newcomer, a mother of two young children who will bring the fresh views of her generation to board deliberations. Int^stingly, in these days of political correcmess, the board is made up of seven men and seven women. They are a strong and varied group who I am sure will serve the Society’s interests well. At their April 18 meeting the board elected Ian Macdonald as President, Tom Taylor as Vice President, Ian Loudon as Treasurer and Susan Dirassar as Secretary. The fiill slate of directors elected is shown in the masthead to the left Harvey Hill was again appointed Auditor and West Van’s “Mr. Historyâ€, Rupert Harrison, was re^ipointed Honourary Archivist HURRAH! â€" THE ARCHIVES ARE OPEN After an hiatus of eight months the Archives were reopened to the public on May 2nd. New Archivist Anne Maclean, whose picture also appears on the front page, is introduced in a brief article that earlier appeared in the WVMA Volunteer News. She is a skilled and expdienced archivist who will be of great assistance to researchers and readers. She is also in a position to offer help and guidance to those of us who have family papers, photos and other historical items. Why not dig these items out of the deep recesses of your closets and give Anne a call. On tfie Q^Sfiop ‘Boof^fieCf Reviewed and Prepared By: Anne Vernon Working in the Woods, by Ken Drushka.
