EXECUTIVE REPORTS Editors Note: Our President, Ian Macdonald, has prepared his formal report to the Annual General Meeting, which appears on page 5 of this issue. He will have information on some late breaking issues at the AGM which will be reported in the next issue. In this space usually occupied by thePresident's Report we have inserted obligatory information regarding the AGM and several news items. THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Annual General Meeting of the West Vancouver Historical Society will be held on Thursday, March 23,1995 at 7:00 pm at Cedardale Centre, 595 Burley Drive, West Vancouver, B.C. Among the items of business is the election of directors for the ensuing year. As usual the Nominations Committee will present a list of members for consideration. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor PROVIDED the Nominee:- (a) is presenL (b) accepts the nomination, (c) is a paid up member of the Society, and (d) there is a mover and seconder. Our bylaws provide that the officers are elected by the directors at their first meeting following the Annual General Meeting. PETER FINCH CHAIRS MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE Vice- President Peter Finch has agreed to chair the Membership Committee in a renewed membership campaign that will feature greater emphasis on our Corporate Memberships. This ad hoc committee includes Joan Skipper, Mem-ber^p Director, Ian Macdonald, President and Waring Pentland, Newsletter Publisher. Peter Hall has already been active in promoting our General Meeting Sponsorship program and has signed up two new Corporate Members in the last 3 months; The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and The Royal Bank of Canada, both West Vancouver branches. Increased recognition of our Corporate Members has been long overdue. As a first step in showing our appreciation for their support we have given them a more prominent display which appears on page 4. Hopefully we can do more, AMBER BOOKSHOP SUPPLIES THE GIFT SHOP The Amber Bookshop of Dundarave has undertaken to supply our Museum (jift Shop on a consignment basis.
