A ‘THANK YOU* TO GEORGIE WILSON FOR A JOB SUPERBLY DONE This is the 34th - and last - edition of 'History-Onics' edited by Georgie Wilson. After editing (and writing most of) this newsletter since April 1986, she seeks a well earned time free of the demands and pressure of meeting five strict deadlines each year. In her own captivating style Georgie has made History-Onics informative - as any newsletter must be - but also interesting, evocative of simpler times and of course, great fun, capturing so much of the essence of 'old West Van.' And what is more they have been widely read beyond our membership to considerable acclaim. At her right hand throughout has been husband David, who has put Georgia's material into his computer and thus produced what we have been reading. Between the two of them, they became masters of fitting everything onto the maximum weight of paper that could be mailed for one postage stamp! If there is any good news in this story, it is that Georgie has agreed to contribute articles from time to time, so we will be able to look forward to her intimate vignettes of West Van - the way it was. And so, to Georgie and David, on behalf of our over 400 members, our warm and sincere thanks for the enjoyment and enrichment that you have brought to our lives, and congratulations for a job superbly done.
