V7V 4S1 926-2643 A. J. (Jim) Spilsbury 'k’k'k'k'k'k^^iK^'k'kiir'k There are three 'whys' and one 'how' in the title of the subject Jim Spilsbury has chosen to speak on at our September 24th meeting. Before that evening's out, these four questions - "WHY WEST VANCOUVER? Our Story ... How We Came; Why We Came; and Why We Come Back" -will undoubtedly have been answered. Randomly, and without implying any express significance to the order in the parade of descriptives attached to Mr. Spilsbury's name, shall we run a few of his credits up the flagpole? ... distinguished author; pioneer airline owner and operator; radio telephone technologist par excellence; painter; raconteur; historian - the list goes on. We are extremely pleased that Mr. Spilsbury has set aside the evening of Thursday, September 24th to spend with the members of the Historical Society. The meeting will be held, as usual at Cedardale Centre, 595 Burley Drive, commencing at 7:00 p.m. with refreshments being served at the conclusion of the presentation. With the appearance of Mr. Spilsbury, a good attendance is anticipated. The Society makes every effort to ensure that alL articles are accurate and takes no responsibility for inaccuracies.
