G. Wilson Director NEWSLETTER REPORT; Several years ago when our membership was less than a hun-where- dred, it was both feasible and economical to hand deliver our newletters ever practical. At present, approximately 135 newsletters are being hand delivered. Two Zone Captains and 14 Route Captains have been involved with the distribution and one person has been in charge of keeping the route information up to date. Obviously, the time devoted to record keeping had to increase as the membership tripled. From that standpoint alone, it was felt that discontinuance of the home delivery was warranted. Although postage will cost considerably more as we go to a complete mail-out policy, with the purchase of our new photocopier we will be able to print the newsletter ourselves at substantial savings. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Zone and Route Captains who have walked their last beat on behalf of the Society. I am indebted to Dave Swanson of Sidney, Vancouver Island who has been providing half tones for the newsletter. I was unaware until recently that a single half tone wipes out a regular membership fee. Over the months, Dave has done dozens for us free of charge as his considerable contribution to the Society. Thank you. Dave. G.
