Gladys Peake thinks we shouldn't be using styrofoam cups for our after-meeting tea or coffee and you know something? Gladys is absolutely right. So, what's to be done about it? There's a simple solution. BRING YOUR OWN MUG. I know. It's just one more thing to remember and remembering isn't getting any easier. Last Christmas, Santa delivered a Scrabble game to our house - the deluxe edition, at that. Among its several refinements is a turntable base and it works like a darn. Gone are the days of craning or straining necks - gone, that is, when we can remember to swivel the board! But, back to remembering to B.Y.O.M. A DOOR PRIZE OF A COFFEE MUG A DOOR PRIZE OF A COFFEE MUG CURSES, FOILED AGAIN Laura Coles' Jan. 31st Workshop on Oral History Interviews was "a go" but with an iffy-eye on the weather due to snow predictions. The few flakes that fell weren't enough to disrupt the interesting and enlightening session which went ahead as scheduled. However, the Feb. 7th Workshop on Identifying School Photographs was quite a different matter. Not only was our meeting "on hold" but the entire Lower Mainland buckled under one of the heaviest snowfalls in years. This Workshop will be re-scheduled at a later date.
