COMMUMITY DAY THE OR JUME We hope as many of you as possible iiiili be able to visit our display this year. Hard at work organizing things are Hugh Johnston, Bas Collins and Mary Chapman. Ross Minions has made several display cases us and Susan Green and Jim Chapman are waiting in the wings to help with the set-up. The theme, not surprisingly, is 1912 or thereabouts. Come on by and give Mary Chapman’s cheerful staff a big "Hello" and once again let’s make our booth buzz with interest. For those of you who havt not as yet bought your copy of Bruce Ramsey’s "A Place of Excellence", now’s your chance. The book will be available at our booth - a timely gift for Fathers Day or, should we say Grandfathers Day? At press time, Mary Chapman was still trying to contact the author for a signature session on the 6th but at the moment we have no firm commitment from Mr. Ramsey as to whether or not he can attend. We think we appreciate it now but Just wait until we’re all bundled up in bulky winter outerwear, and ask us then. Thank Ross Minions for a super coat rack he’s constructed for the Society. It would be a stroke of literary luck if "minion" befitted Ross’s masterwork but ’dainty, elegant, trim and pretty’ it ain’t. Standing big^ handsome and portable, this rack should take care of all our future hang-up blues. It’s an easy guess as to what Wt are lackinq CO A' HANGERS, of course! If everybody would bring one or two hangers to the next meeting, we would soon fill ’er up!
