Contact with the Schools The Society donates two copies of each newsletter to the library of each of the three secondary schools. One Social Studies teacher from Sentinel has been sending students to the Society for information on early West Vancouver. Plans are under way for the preparation of a series of lessons, to be supplemented by slides, for use in the schools. Two teachers have expressed interest in such a series. B.C. Heritage Trust Student Employment Kevin Connery, who graduated from West Vancouver Secondary and who is presently studying Landscape Architecture in Oregon, has asked the Society to support him in an effort to obtain a Heritage Trust Grant for historical research which would help the Society in utilizing the Ferry Ticket Office. Your president, on behalf of the Society, has written asking for a grant for Kevin. The Trust generally gets twice as many requests than it can fill, but we have hopes that Kevin's will be accepted.
