Your Executive are pleased to say that much work has been done, now that we have permanent home, towards meeting our true objectives, but much more work must be done before we are fully operational. Much material has already been collected, which must now be identified, indexed, catalogued, and stored in identifiable acid free envelopes. To do this we need help - volunteers who can work 3 to 6 hours a week, preparing artifacts and archival material for correct conservation and preservation. If you are interested in preserving the history of West Vancouver and can help, please fill out the attached form and you will be contacted. You will find the work interesting and challenging, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped preserve West Vancouver's pas for future generations to know and see. HAVE YOU HISTORICAL MATERIAL? Enclosed with this newsletter, you will find a blue "Contact Record" form. If you have material in the form of old photographs, maps, sketches, manuscripts, letters, artifacts, pertaining to the historical background of West Vancouver that you wish to donate, loan, or will to the Society, please fill out the blue form and mail it to the Society. Our Director, Mr. F.K. Dennison would be pleased to hear from you, and you will be contacted in due course. The methods by which your donation will be handled will be explained to you so that you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your donation will be available for the knowledge and pleasure of future generations.
