Of the staff in the year 1924-25 there is a question. That Mr. Fred Patterson was principal is beyond dispute. He is shown in the picture of the graduating class. Miss E.J. Maycock is shown in a picture of the entire high school for the same year. Two sources say there was a third teacher, and with grades 9, 10, and 11 to cover, this is reasonable. But the sources differ on the name. One says Miss Gill is; the other Miss Mahaffey or McHaffey. A check on tne Board minutes for 1923, 1924, 1925 may resolve this. The Society is disappointed that it has not been able to trace tne careers of all the 1925 graduates, and that it has been given so little information about the careers of grads in the later pictures. If you have any connection with anyone who may nave graduated from West Van High between 1925 and 1955, we would urge you to go round to the Y.M.C.A. Building - the old Inglewood High School Building - have a look at the appropriate graduation pictures and fill out one of the identification forms which are available in the Y Office. Even if you wish to fill in an anecdote or a record of achievement, each individual's form should only take a minute or two. The time you spend will be a worthwhile addition to the Archives of West Vancouver. And do try to attend tne meeting of the Society at which another opportunity to inspect the photographs will be given. Bring any interested friends or neighbours. They will all be welcome. NOTICE!
