- Description
- View looking up Lawson Avenue, now 17th street, from Dominion Government Wharf. On far left is Lawson House, formerly Navvy Jack's House. White building in centre is John Lawson's office and in front of the office is a concrete sidewalk that Mr. Lawson financed. The light on the wharf is a gasoline street lamp and pre-dates electricity in West Vancouver.
