Originally when this dealership opened in the early 1950's Roger Gautier was the principal owner and it was known as Roger Motors, later Bill Conroy took over and it was then known as Bill Conroy Ltd. and finally it became Royal. The dealership was always a General Motors dealer selling Pontiac, Buick, and English Vauxhall's and towards the end Cadillac's.
